Small Town Traditions...Still Alive Today
The town of Palmer Lake, Colorado has a rich past, just waiting to be discovered. The Palmer Lake Historical Society preserves its history and maintains the Lucretia Vaile Museum.
Today, Palmer Lake maintains a few key long-standing traditions, including the Chautauqua Assembly (reenactment) in August, the Star Lighting in November and the Yule Log Festival in December.

Palmer Lake is a rich historical area marked by the Palmer-Divide. A brief intro to the area’s geography, early inhabitants, first expeditions and homesteaders, historical Wild West events, and past industries.
Palmer Lake Historical Society & Lucretia Vaile Museum
Tour the museum on Saturdays, 10am to 2pm and on Wednesdays from 1pm to 4pm all year. The museum is located at 66 Lower Glenway St. in Palmer Lake.
